Fetch NJ
Effective October 9, 2026
Fetch NJ is a home search for New Jersey buyers, operated by Fetch Technologies LLC. This page explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and how to have it deleted.
What you tell Fetch. Fetch works by talking with you, so the conversation is the product. We keep the messages you send and Fetch’s replies, along with what Fetch takes from them: the towns you’re looking in, your price range, bedrooms, must-haves and deal-breakers, the homes you save or pass on, and any notes you add to a home.
Your account. A first name and an email address. The email is how you sign in — we send a one-time code rather than keep a password — and how we reach you about your search.
Showing and property requests. When you request a showing or ask a question about a listing, we collect the name and phone number or email you enter, the day and time you prefer, and anything you write in the message.
Documents and photos you choose to send. If you add a document to your search — a pre-approval letter, a disclosure, an inspection report — or send Fetch a photo, we store the file and the text we read out of it so Fetch can refer to it later.
Your device, for notifications. If you turn notifications on, we store the notification token your phone issues, the platform and the app version.
Basic usage. Which screens and listings were viewed, and when. On first use a random identifier is stored on your device so your search survives closing the app. On the website we also record the page you arrived from and your browser’s user-agent string.
We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, your photo library, your calendar, your Social Security number, or any bank account or card number. We do not run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on this site or in the app, and we do not buy information about you from data brokers.
If you register as a real-estate agent, we ask for your licence number and check it against New Jersey’s public licensee register. We also ask you to verify your identity, and that step is run by Stripe: you photograph a government ID inside Stripe’s own screen, in their service, under their privacy policy.
We never receive the image of your ID, your ID number, or your date of birth. Stripe tells us one thing — the name printed on the document. We keep that name, your licence number, and a reference to the Stripe session, so we can check that the person and the licence belong together. Nothing else from that step reaches us.
This applies only to agents. If you are here to buy a home, you are never asked for any of it.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
We keep your information to ourselves and share it only in these cases.
Service providers who run the product for us. Each sees only what it needs:
The agent handling your request. When you request a showing or ask about a property, the contact details and message you entered go to the licensed real estate agent or brokerage who will follow up with you.
Anyone you invite into your search. A search can be shared — with a partner, or with an agent. Everyone in it sees the conversation and the homes in it, which is the point of sharing one.
When the law requires it. If we are legally compelled, or where it is necessary to protect someone’s safety or our rights.
Listing data flows one way. Property information comes to us from the MLS. Nothing about you is sent back to it.
As long as you have a search with us, and for a period afterward for our business records. You can have it deleted sooner at any time.
In the app, tap the information button in the header, and under Your account choose Delete account. The same screen has a link to this page. It runs immediately and it is not reversible: your conversation with Fetch, your search, your saved homes, your uploaded documents and the files themselves, your notification settings and your profile are removed, and every signed-in device is signed out.
One thing survives, on purpose: a search you share with someone else is not yours alone to delete. Your membership in it ends and the search passes to another person in it. A search nobody else is in goes with your account.
You can also email hello@fetchnj.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete the account, or to tell you what we hold about you. We will do it within 30 days.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your personal information under state law. We will act on a request from anyone who asks, wherever they live.
Fetch is for adults buying and selling homes. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will remove it.
Information travels over an encrypted connection and is stored with the providers named above, which encrypt data at rest. Documents live in a private store that is never readable by address — every time one is opened, a short-lived link is issued for that one read. Signing in uses a one-time emailed code rather than a stored password. No system is perfect and we won’t claim otherwise.
If this policy changes in a way that matters we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant we will say so in the app.
